The Department of Bodo in Commerce College Kokrajhar is run by single faculty member namely Dr. Bipul Chandra Basumatary Since its inception in the college under the ambit of Modern Indiana Language (MIL). The Department is imparting knowledge of Bodo Language and literature to the students of H.S and UG Level as provided by Assam Higher Secondary Education Council and Gauhati University and Bodoland University. It also Provides Extension services in Institute of Distance and Open Learning (IDOL) Under G.U.
The Department Organizing various activities time to time like

- 18th May observance of Bodo Medium of Instruction Day.
- 21th February, Internaltional Mother Language Day.
